Nurtured Mommy Group Prenatals are a great place to meet friends, build community, find nurturing support, and share your own challenges and successes in a way that will help other women who are in your shoes!  These groups are based off the idea of a midwifery prenatal group, so they will also be packed with educational content and tips to help you along your pregnancy and mommyhood path.

The NM group for pregnant women meets twice a week and is a great way to get to know other women who are going through what you are experiencing and who have some of the same questions and concerns.  We meet for an hour and start the meeting by going around the room and introducing ourselves, then we will take some time to talk about any questions, concerns, or pregnancy discomforts that are coming up for you.  Nurtured Mommies will have the opportunity to share their own challenges and support each other, in addition to getting expert information and advice from Becky, who will be facilitating each group meeting.  The last 20 minutes of each meeting will be devoted to a hot topic relating to pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, or baby.  You are also welcome to stay for the NM group for new and breastfeeding moms, to start learning things you will want to know to have an easier transition into mommyhood!  {Tues. & Thurs. 11:00 - 12:00.}

The NM group for new and breastfeeding moms meets once during the first week of the month, and twice each week thereafter.  We only meet once at the beginning of the month so as not to interfere with the La Leche League meetings that are held in Ever'mans community room on the first Thursday of each month.  This NM group focuses on emotional and physical healing after birth, the transition from woman to mommy, breastfeeding challenges (although you don't have to be breastfeeding to be part of the group!), relationship challenges, and anything else that is coming up for you as a new mommy!  Nurtured Mommies will have the opportunity to share their experiences and also support one another.  Becky will be there to facilitate and offer perspective, information, and advice as well.  Babies are very welcome at this NM group meeting!   This group is generally intended for up to 8 weeks postpartum, and by then you might want to start your own informal Nurtured Mommy group of women you met here!  {Tues. & Thurs. 12:30 - 1:30)
